After the passing of Dutchess County icon "Butch" Anderson, the popular and well respected, Undersheriff Kirk Imperati, stepped up until elections could be held to permanently fill the role this November.
Governor Hochul however, is now trying to meddle in local politics by appointing a new Sheriff.
Let's not taint Sheriff Butch's legacy with her attempt to play politics with our local safety.
